Welcome to the 777 Project
|
 |
|
The 777 Project is an attempt to build a full scale B777 simulator in my home. Starting from scratch, I have built up a very close replica of the multi-million dollar simulators found at many professional training facilities. Since 1998, constant upgrades have been made to the simulator to make it constantly more realistic. This web site shows much of what I went through, especially my Lab Journal (under the Reports menu). Read More...

| New throttle quadrant and floor stand - Tuesday, August 03, 2010One of the most challenging areas of this project has been finding a throttle quadrant. I definitely wanted to use a metal throttle, and the 767 throttle is very close to the 777. By replacing the ADI with a CCD, adding LCDs to the stab trim and doing some minor bondo work, the 767 can easily be converted to a viable 777 throttle.
The engine fire switches are my favorite switches in the aircraft, and I finally found a brand new pair from a 777-200! Attempts to recreate them, have also proven difficult and relatively unrealistic. The real switches are VEERY heavy duty and require quite a bit of force to pull. I will custom make a metal mounting plate so these can be installed in the sim.

My Upcoming Book
I've been busy writing my next book, 'American Boy, Nigerian Girl' a memoire of my journey to Nigeria to marry a beautiful Nigerian woman. It's not released yet, but I encourage everyone to join the mailing list to receive previews before the book is released. read more ... |
| Happy 2009! - Monday, January 12, 2009Although things have been quiet at the 777 Project lately, the project isn't dead. As I've found over the years, sim building happens whenever life slows down enough to allow it! I lost the battle to keep a bed out of the sim room, but the war isn't over yet >:-) This marks the 10th year I've been building this thing and there is no end in site. I notice a lot of neat new items have been released, and 757 parts are slowly becoming a bit more "available." I hope to talk to everyone again as soon as I get time to start building again! - Robert |
| Pro MFD Downloads Available - Monday, April 07, 2008Although development has not resumed on the Pro MFD collection, I have moved the latest versions to the new site. The hosts of the previous site appears to have gone ad-crazy, so I have moved the downloads to this site.
Remember: The demo version requires a code, but the key is free. Just e-mail me the code at AirPanther@aol.com and I'll respond as soon as I can. read more ... |
